Significant and severe disputes broke out between two shareholders of a small internet marketing company, involving both financial and operational aspects. A lawsuit was filed. The Douglas County District Court appointed Cordes & Company as receiver in order to preserve and protect the company assets until the legal issues could be resolved. Cordes took control of finances, investigated and reported on the various allegations made by the parties, and oversaw operations. On the basis of Cordes’ involvement and hard work, the parties were able to come to a settlement that resulted in the business being transferred to one party and monetary consideration to the other party.
