Receivership Services
Our Services
Since 1983, Cordes & Company has served as a court-appointed receiver in hundreds of cases involving a wide variety of businesses and properties. In these often highly charged and contentious environments, we provide services designed to successfully manage assets, staff, inventory, operations and financial decision-making in an efficient and professional manner. Beyond the typical, routine duties required of a receiver, Cordes & Company has the ability to add value to all stakeholders by providing, as required, the following expertise:
- Professional Management: Cordes & Company professionals have managed businesses, large and small, and bring decades of experience to each engagement.
- Forensic Accounting: Occasionally, financial records require greater scrutiny to determine appropriate claims, rights and ownership of assets. Cordes & Company has certified forensic accounting professionals to provide this expertise.
- Situational Assessment and Value Enhancement: A receiver’s first duty and loyalty is with the court. However, with decades of experience, Cordes & Company is often able to advise various stakeholders on options available to maximize the efficiency of the process and enhance asset value while in receivership. This can start with the design of the initial court order.
- Asset/Business Liquidation: Working with all stakeholders, Cordes & Company is able to design and manage a sale/liquidation event, if applicable, to minimize the asset/business holding period following foreclosure.
