Katherine Cordes has joined Cordes & Company as an associate director, with a primary focus on the firm’s recently enhanced business valuation services.
Cordes brings to the firm’s clients experience gained at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York City, where she worked on the product control team supporting the Investment Banking Division. She was closely involved with valuation of the division’s non-publicly traded investment portfolios, as well as reporting divisional results. She was also a member of the fund-accounting product control team for Goldman’s Hedge Fund Strategies platform.
Previously, Cordes was an audit senior for Ernst & Young in New York City, serving asset management clients.
Cordes is a Certified Public Accountant. She earned a Master of Accounting graduate degree from Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. She also received an undergraduate degree in business administration from Olin (where she was on the dean’s list), with dual majors in accounting and finance. She participated in an extended exchange program at Ormond College, University of Melbourne, in Australia.
Cordes is a Colorado native. She is the daughter of Cordes & Company founder Edward B. Cordes.
